Denis Scott is an Assistant Professor and the Global Education and Civic Engagement Specialist for West Virginia University Extension Service. As a PhD candidate in Human and Community Development and a Professional Community and Economic Developer he focuses on youth engagement, service learning, volunteer management, and leadership development. He has worked on a broad range of Extension projects including agriculture and natural resources and families and health programs that strengthen youth and communities. Denis' international Extension work focuses on inter-cultural exchanges and experiential learning programs for youth and adult volunteers while helping participants understand themselves in local, national, and global contexts. Denis enjoys teaching youth to think globally and act locally in everyday situations.
