The content of this resource area is devoted to supporting and enhancing communication between food service professionals and the school community as well as between parents and their children. Building a sustainable, healthy school food environment requires support and help from the whole school community including, food service directors and staff, school administrators, wellness committee members, teachers, parents and students themselves. To help strengthen communications between these parties this area provides easy explanations of new policies and research backed ways to create policies that reinforce healthy practices.
