Beverly A Spears, PhD, is retired from Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU), Cooperative Extension Program (CEP).  During her career at PVAMU-CEP,  Dr. Spears served as a 4-H Specialist, State 4-H Program Leader, and Interim Program Leader  and provided expertise in the following areas:  annual and long-term program planning, development and  delivery based upon needs assessments; formulation of programmatic policies and procedures to support positive youth, family, and human development; delivery of  research based educational prevention/intervention programs for limited resource clientele, identification of resiliency factors of communities, supervision of 4-H headquarters and county field staff and provided professional development training(s).  Also she is considered as an expert in the areas of entrepreneurship, leadership development and nonprofit organizations. Presently she serves as a consultant and a contributor to the eXtension Teen Leadership Community of Practice (CoP).
