Dr. Palmer’s work is centered on turning, sometimes complex, research-based nutrition information into practical recommendations to assist people in making the healthiest food choices possible. She has spent much of the last decade researching what dietitians and consumers do and do not know, as well as what misconceptions they have, about omega-3s and using that information to guide the development of the A, B, Cs of Omega-3s website. She has also mentored a doctoral student in the development of a podcast that can be used while shopping to find the most omega-3 rich foods in each aisle of the grocery store. Their research has shown that when people know “what” to buy, they do! This podcast, as well as a great deal of other information about omega-3s is now housed on this website.
