The  wood products industry in the United States contributes with almost a 1 million jobs to the economic development of the country. Because wood is a renewable material, the industry is considered of low environmental impact. However, industry communities (small and large) need better pathways to increase their knowledge on the design, processing, and management of wood products.

The goal of the Wood Products CoP is to disseminate knowledge on the design, production, management, marketing, and environmental impact of wood products to small and large wood products manufacturers.
