Is it legal to eat feral hogs?

Feral Hogs December 06, 2013 Print Friendly and PDF

Yes. However, there are some diseases to be aware of when cleaning and eating feral hogs.  Feral hogs can carry parasites and diseases such as pseudorabies, swine brucellosis, and tuberculosis. Be sure to cook the meat thoroughly, to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.  For more information on disease issues view Feral Hog Diseases and Parasites.
