The Network Literacy Community of Practice aims to build a community around learning in online networked environments. This community will use available/emerging networks, technology, and information to form the community and engage others; we will will also create scholarly resources on the use of online communication networks for a community of interest. The Network Literacy Community of Practice will pursue information about new technologies, new ways of learning, new ways of working, and innovative approaches on the Internet, and trends around technology use for teaching and learning.

One of the charges of the Network Literacy Community of Practice is to help the Military Families Learning Network use social networks in learning communities and for professional development. The CoP will also engage other eXtension Communities of Practice, Cooperative Extension educators, and others using networked technologies for communications, commerce, social networking, and learning.
