What are the penalties for misuse of the term "organic"?

Any operation that knowingly sells or labels a product as "organic," except in accordance with the Act (OFPA) and the NOP regulations, may be subject to a civil penalty of not more than $10,000 per violation and the provisions of 18 U.S.C 1001.
