No celebration is complete without dessert, and for Valentine's Day, the dessert has to be chocolate. To give your sweetie a delicious dessert with heart-health promoting qualities, opt for dark chocolate. Dark chocolate offers an intense chocolate experience along with flavonoids. Dark Chocolate Fondue

2 cups fat-free milk
½ cup powdered sugar, sifted
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon strongly brewed coffee
5 ounces dark chocolate (60% cocoa), chopped (about 1 cup)

Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat; cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and cook 2 more minutes or until mixture is smooth. Place the chocolate in a medium bowl; pour the milk mixture over the chocolate and stir until smooth. Transfer chocolate mixture to a fondue pot and keep warm over a low flame.

Serve with stemmed strawberries and cherries, raspberries, bananas, pineapple chunks, and angel food cake.

Yield: 12 servings (serving size: about 2 tablespoons)
