Jon HeadshotJonathan Padia, RD joined the Colorado Department of Education, Office of School Nutrition in 2015 as a program specialist. He oversees meal patterns, menu planning, Residential Child Care Institutions, Smart Snacks and competitive foods for school districts in Colorado. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Colorado State University. Prior to working with the CDE, Jon worked with El Paso County Public Health’s WIC program as a Registered Dietitian/Supervisor, a dietary consultant for the Family Crisis Center, and completed his dietetic internship at Tri-County Health Department.
