Ronald D. Gardner (Ron)
He is a Senior Extension Associate at Cornell University in the Pesticide Management Education Program where his primary job is the education of New York’s pesticide applicators. He is a leader of the Pesticide Stewardship Community of practice and a member of the American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators. For 33 years, he has been in research and education.
Ron was born and raised on a Dairy Farm in the Finger Lakes Region of the New York State. He has college degrees in Public Health, Environmental Health and Entomology. He has written several training manuals used to certify applicators including the manuals in the Food Processing, Termite, and Right-of-Way applicator categories. He also has created and manages the PMEP Distance Learning Center an online education system for licensed applicators to earn recertification credits.
Ron is a Past President of the New York State Association of Milk and Food Sanitarians is Chairman of the Northeast Pesticide Coordinators.
