Renee Pardello, Assistant Dean for the University of Minnesota Extension and Endowed Chair for the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture has worked in international development for more than 12 years, working at the village to the country-wide level in Francophone Africa. She currently is charged with international programming focusing on incorporating global dynamics and cultural knowledge into U of M Extension's education, research and value to better respond to increasingly diverse and interdependent domestic and global needs. Ms. Pardello also works with Native American communities as the co-chair for the American Indian Task Force and the principal investigator for the Federally Recognized Tribes Extension Program with Minnesota communities focusing on food and water related issues. As the Endowed Chair in Agricultural Systems for the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture she created a framework for an enhanced collaborative partnership with the Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine, Hassan II, the National School of Agriculture and the Rural Tourism Network in Morocco, to strengthen sustainable agricultural systems and rural communities in Minnesota and Morocco. She is the current president for the Association for International Agriculture and Extension Education (AIAEE).
