Healthy Food Choices in Schools December 23, 2016 Print Friendly and PDF

When was the last time you looked at your school district’s local wellness policy? How about the last time you assessed how it compares to best practices recommended for local wellness policies?

During this webinar Stephanie Joyce, MS, RD, LD, SNS National Nutrition Advisor- Alliance for a Healthier Generation and her colleague, Sarah Titzer, Healthy Schools and Communities Program, Director of Training, Professional Development and Content Management with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, offer step- by- step guidance on revising your wellness policy and highlight resources, including the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Model Wellness Policy developed by national experts. From revising and updating the wellness policy, to implementation, evaluation and communicating progress—the Alliance’s Healthy Schools Program has tools and resources to not only help your school get ahead of the curve in terms of meeting the proposed Federal regulations, but also meet the Bronze level for the Healthy Schools Award Program.
