Alisha is the leader of the "Develop Healthy Eating Dialogues" content group for the Healthy Food Choices in Schools Community of Practice.
Alisha joined the Food and Nutrition Education in Communities group within the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University as a postdoctoral associate in August 2014. With an educational background in health education and nutrition, her research and practice interests include environmental approaches to prevent obesity, improve food security, and promote equitable food access, particularly among low-income, rural populations. Recognizing the important role of schools in meeting these goals, Alisha's research has included work with school wellness policies.
Through her current position with the Smarter Lunchrooms AFRI, Alisha is excited to be working more closely with Cooperative Extension and to be involved with this Community of Practice.
