As Associate Area Agent –Youth Development, at Southwest Center Rural Initiative in Opelousas, La through the Southern University Agriculture Research and Extension Center in Baton Rouge, La, he provides youth enrichment in science and you mentorship. He also startup community youth groups, afterschool and in school programs.

Aubrey has background in the science of biology, chemistry, and plant and soil science. He taught on the college level in the Department Chemistry at Southern University Baton Rouge, La from 2003-2009.

In 2011, he started at Southwest Center Rural Initiatives in Opelousas, La, where he is passion to teach science continues. He uses his skills now in the rural community in youth development where his passion lies. Seeing youth understanding science concepts is the enjoyments that can’t be explain by words.

Aubrey hobbies are remote control cars, airplanes, and helicopters, and have competed in numerous remote control contests. He also, likes to restore antique cars. Aubrey latest vehicle he restored was a 1970 Volkswagen beetle.  

Originally, from Louisiana, Aubrey received his B.S. Biology / Chemistry from Southern University New Orleans, La. and M.S. Environmental Science – Chemistry Southern University A&M, PhD. Plant and Soil Science Alabama A&M University Normal, AL.
