Military Caregiving Continuing Education Instructions

Family Caregiving, Military Families February 06, 2015 Print Friendly and PDF

The Military Families Learning Network – Military Caregiving concentration area offers National Association of Social Workers (NASW) continuing education credit (CE) for many of their live and recorded webinars to credentialed participants.

Registration for professional development webinar is not required. The NASW CE Approval Program is currently endorsed by 46 state licensure boards. Note the following states do not endorse the NASW CE approval programs and require individual program/provider application processes: Michigan, New York, North Carolina, and West Virginia.

Participants must complete both portions of the crediting process (evaluation and post-test) and pass with an 80% or higher on the test. Once the evaluation and post-test is completed, participants will receive an automatically generated certificate via email.

See below for how to obtain NASW CE credit via LIVE and ARCHIVED sessions:

LIVE Presentations

  • A link to an evaluation and post-test will be provided for participants during the ‘live’ webinar presentation in the chat pod, PowerPoint presentation, or both.
  • Participants who have completed the evaluation and obtained an 80 percent or higher on the post-test will be eligible for NASW CE credit.
  • Upon completion, the automated system containing the evaluation and post-test will then generate a certificate that is to be delivered via email to participants.

ARCHIVED Presentations

  • A link to an evaluation and post-test will be provided for participants on the webinar’s Learn event page.
  • Participants who have completed the evaluation and obtained an 80 percent or higher on the post-test will be eligible for NASW CE credit.
  • Upon completion, the automated system containing the evaluation and post-test will then generate a certificate that is to be delivered via email to participants.
  • NASW CE credits are available for one year after the date of the aired webinar.
  • Upcoming and archived webinars can be found at MFLN Professional Development Webinars.
