Dr. Maurice Eastridge, The Ohio State University

Dr. Maurice Eastridge, Professor and Extension Dairy Specialist, has been on the faculty in the Department of Animal Sciences at The Ohio State University since March 1986. His primary responsibilities include teaching, Extension, and research in dairy cattle nutrition. He received his MS and PhD from Purdue University. He regularly publishes peer-reviewed articles, bulletins and fact sheets, and in electronic newsletters, student publications, and lay publications. At the university and college levels, he has been recognized for his outstanding service to students and student development, and he has received several awards for his Extension programs, including the DeLaval Dairy Extension Award from the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA). He is a recipient of the ADSA Nutrition Professionals, Inc. Applied Dairy Nutrition Award and has been recognized as outstanding alumni by the Department of Animal Sciences at Purdue University. He chairs the Planning Committee for the Tri-State Dairy Nutrition Conference (http://tristatedairy.osu.edu), is editor of the Buckeye Dairy News (http://dairy.osu.edu), and subject matter leader for the “Nutrition of Milking and Dry Cows” for the Dairy Community of Practice in eXtension.
