Jim is the Extension Poultry Specialist in the Department of Animal and Rangeland Sciences at Oregon State University. He works with the commercial poultry industry as well as small commercial and backyard poultry enthusiasts.

Jim received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Avian Sciences and a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of California, Davis.  Jim’s current research interests focus on northwest grown alternative feedstuffs for small flock commercial producers of broilers, layers, and turkeys.
