An Overview of Genomic Selection and Fertility

In this webinar, Dr. Hansen joins us to discuss genomic selection as it relates to fertility traits. Learn about single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), the challenges in selecting for reproductive traits, and some of the current work in overcoming those challenges.

Drs. Dalton and Santos are each participating in research projects which are investigating the use of genomics in dairy cattle, both of which aim to improve fertility in the dairy cow. We first hear from Dr. Dalton, then Dr. Santos, on the goals and progress of their respective AFRI-funded research projects.
